These days are aimed at education and training broadcasters the importance of respecting Indigenous culture and to understand the unique elements ofIndigenous culture through the 'Caring for Country' program being developed by Raylene and the production team.

These photos show Raylene taking the Radio Larrakia Indigenous Broadcasting Training Program team out on her Country, 'Kenbi', which was explained as the most significant traditional Larrakia land claim in Australia's history running for the past thirty or more years. Raylene along with her family who are members of the Tommy Lyons Group, are the named Traditional owners for Kenbi and continue to live, hunt, fish and care for the land, seas on and around Kenbi. Radio Larrakia broadcasters are treated to cultural awareness firsthand as Raylene and her family explain the history oftheir Country and their people and what caring for country means. The cultural awareness training Cultural Day is full on with four wheel driving along the rugged dirt roads andstops along the way to 'burn off' which clears the land of dying bush and keeps it clean and allows for new growth in the bush. Fishing, telling countless stories of the land, the waters and the people end in a good feed and a better understanding of what traditional Indigenous culture is all about. Raylene's knowledge and experience gives the Radio Larrakia's Indigenous Broadcasting Training Program, and the Cultural Awareness training a unique and significant insight into Larrakia culture and history at the site of traditional practice and everyday living.
